December Snow 06:04 about "Partially Domesticated Amazon" is a concept album about the observations, musings and struggles of a woman who feels out of place both in her personal life and in her culture. Newly emigrated from the remote, idyllic setting of her Amazonian home, the partially domesticated Amazon finds adjusting to the modern world deeply challenging. She uses music as therapy and as a way to document and make sense of the chaos of life. She is both strong and sensitive, sometimes overwhelmed by the inequities she sees and experiences in the world. She wants to be loved and accepted but is determined to honor her unique point of view and not be marginalized, minimized or "Barbie-fied." She rejects the notion of strict gender roles and encourages others to find their unique voice and hold their own in a world full of plastic, homogenized stereotypes. "Partially Domesticated Amazon: Exposed!" is the 1st in a series of 3 records entitled "Aural Elixir Three Ways."
