This is Volume 1 of our 3 Volume concept album "Grey Expectations." The album has not been released yet. We plan on releasing it in mid to late April. The album progresses chronologically over the course of 17 chapters (songs). It begins with a lullaby to a newborn and reaches its climax after what some might call a "mid-life crisis." As the characters in our story begin to grow older, they learn that life is far different than it was portrayed to them when they were children. They begin to question things and soon find themselves at a mental crossroads where they must choose between chasing their dreams and conformity. It's nearly impossible to do both. I don't want to spoil the whole concept just yet, but check out the individual song descriptions and single artwork to learn a bit more about the story. Although the music is hip hop at its core, I am a big fan of classic rock, Motown, soul, and funk. Labeling this album "hip hop" is a disservice in my opinion. It's far more than that. "Dance" has a bit of a Dave Matthews Band vibe. "Love & Hate" sounds like it could be a mashup of 80s Metallica and other hard rock bands. "Wasted" sounds like a modern pop song. There are a lot of different flavors to choose from, but you'll always find a little bit of rap tossed in the mix.
