ABOUT THE ALBUM: ‘Full Circle’ has too many facets and layers to simply plug into a cookie-cutter genre and label as alternative or pop or jazz. Instead, you’ll find it taking you down some unexpected paths, belying the short 22 years this artist has lived thus far. The full scope and sharp lyrics of the songs on the CD move you from emotional revenge so bitter you can almost taste the pain on the CD’s title song, ‘Full Circle,’ to the final track, ‘Lucky’, which reminds the listener that “…lucky is a state of mind.” Halie accompanies herself with piano on all 12 tracks, including 11 self-penned originals and a cover of Joni Mitchell’s ‘River’. The album was co-produced and engineered with James House, a multi-talented producer and musician who also added backup bass and guitar to several of the songs. Other musicians playing on the project were Chris Ward (electric & acoustic guitar and bass), Brian West (drums), Paul Biondi (saxophones) and Dale Bradley (cello).
