Halfway To Houston is a collection of country and country-blues songs written by Kevin Reardon or by Kevin Reardon and George Smith. For this collection, Briskin Petters takes over leading the band which he has re-christened the Big Stone 5 (but we have no idea why). In any case, Briskin has things running red hot and will be adding many new songs to this album, so check back often. Briskin and the Big Stone 5 are in fact not always big nor 5 but they perform this material and give it their own "unique" country feel. I hope you enjoy. George Smith is the exciting lyricist behind many of the songs in this compilation. Tyler Smith sings on everything, and plays/arranges most of them. Tyler is just outstanding !! Ernie Albert of ERX Productions did all of the final production and engineering mastery !!! Ver-r-r-r-y nice !! All of the great pedal steel comes from the magic fingers of Jeff DeMaio.
