Ciara, Michelle, A Dolls House
Ciara Michelle’s forthcoming debut album "A Doll's House”, modeled after Henrick Ibsen’s 1879 play by the same name, is a concept album like no other. Due for release before 2006, Ciara says “Every song will have an inkling of how my life is parallel to this story.” While Ibsen fills pages with elements of loyalty, oppression, self-discovery, and independence, her songs will speak to everyone in the same manner through the telling of her own distinctive story. What better way to introduce an album by such a complex artist, than to model it after such a tale?
Each 'chapter' on “A Doll’s House” is meant to act as a room in ones’ actual house. Ciara notes, “It is as if each song has its own color, its own vibe and comfort level but when put together, develop into this beautiful house. Eventually the album will form a masterpiece. And if you go backwards, each room is carefully constructed brick by brick and handled carefully to make sure each room stands on its own within the house”.
