The spirit of the 60's & 70's reborn in this unique Neo-Retro collection. Second Album is filled with diverse musical styles including folk, country, blues, and simple rock. The vocal harmonies are crisp and lush invoking CSNY and Simon and Garfunkel, and reminding us again how important they are to a good song. The Tygers add some clever instrumentation adding saxophone on Voo Doo, Girl Like You, and You Know Where to Reach Me, pedal steel guitar on How Long Does It Take, and clarinet and banjo Never Too Late. All the songs are well crafted with memorable melodies and simple hooks. The Tygers' Second Album is essentially period music from the 1960's, but made fresh and inviting for our day. If you remember those days or merely want to hear an authentic and vital representation from that time, then you must pick up their Second Album. Danger Dog Music Reviews 5/2/10
