I am a 30-year Warner Bros. Records label veteran with a love of songwriting. During my years with Warner's I worked in marketing, promotion, video, and production divisions as well as helped to design systems for those departments.
I retired early from Warner to create a collaborative songwriter site called Songsinc. The concept was to marry instrumental asset owners with songwriters who used those assets to create new melodies and lyrics, or new songs. Asset owners earned royalties on track shared along with a co-writer credits. Songsinc ran for 8 years and over 1700 new songs were created by that process.
I continue to write as well as work with Songsinc Members on song placements, co-writes and mentoring. I am a proud and active advocate of songwriters’ rights and appreciate this opportunity to share some of my songs with Broadjam members.

Andrea Standley, Songwriter BIO
I am a 30-year music industry label veteran, beginning my career at Warner Brothers Records in 1976, having expertise in the areas of marketing, promotion, video, and production. I was also instrumental in helping to design many of the data systems still in use today by the label.
I used my love and knowledge of the music industry and the internal data programs along with my love for songwriting (most important) to conceive and create an innovative collaborative songwriter site I called Songsinc (songs-inc). Launched in 2007, the site offered fully produced music tracks to songwriters who could use to create new songs by creating new melodies and lyrics within the track. Likely understood as "topline" today, I was the first songwriter site to introduce the concept to all levels of writers around the world, which also earned royalties for the track owners. When the site closed in 2013 (due to health reasons - all good now), at its closing, over 1700 new songs had been created along with dozens of successful placements and recordings of these new songs.
I continue to write as well as work with many Songsinc Members on song placements, co-writes and mentoring, and will do so until I can't.... hopefully another 30 years!
I told my songwriter members, whether PROS of Beginners, "You create songs! It doesn't matter if they are on radio or not...you create songs. Wear the SONGWRITER label gratefully; it only belongs to a few people on this earth."
We are the lucky ones :)
