LightningFire is my Metal Music Project that has replaced me having to be in a band, and I'm thrilled with it because not only do I not have any arguments or fights with other band members, they don't exist, I'm the only member but I get to do everything myself and the music I've produced is better than any band I've ever played with back when I was just a drummer, so that means I'm not one of the "Dumb Drummers" but instead I have become a complete musician, and because of the car accident I was in the year 2000 that caused me nerve damage taking 70% use of my right arm, nothing has been able to stop me playing music, especially the guitar and the bass...I don't play guitar the way most guitarists do but I can still pick, thump, grind and shred the strings. I now compose my own drums and add my sampled sounds from my old drum set from my past recorded demos, onto my composed drum notes in every song and instrumental you hear on my albums. Enjoy my music thanks.

LightningFire Story

LightningFire is my Metal Music Project that has replaced me having to be in a band, and I'm thrilled with it because not only do I not have any arguments or fights with other band members, they don't exist, I'm the only member but I get to do everything myself and the music I've produced is better than any band I've ever played with back when I was just a drummer, so that means I'm not one of the brainless drummer types but instead I have become a complete musician. My story is huge because of a life changing event and a death. I was doing well in my music career drumming in a few bands and living the life. Then tragedy struck in the form of a car accident that happened to me in the year 2000. The result of that accident was nerve damage taking 70% use of my right arm, of which I was forced to retire my drumming career. So I moved back to Los Angeles, and had no idea what I was going to do. After about a year of thinking, I went and got a scholarship to an art school and got my Masters Degree in multi-media web and digital design and started my own business building websites for companies and personal ones also and fixing computers, but after five years I had to close my doors. So for another couple years I was doing nothing but creating digital art and putting my works online and over the years more than eight million people have viewed and downloaded my designs from more than a hundred and fifty countries....but I was not happy. Then an old guitar player friend of mine told me about a new type of program, the DAW, (digital audio workshop) where I could make my own music. I tried it out but realized you had to use loops of other peoples music and it would then be considered electronic music and I was not into that. Then another tragedy hit my life when my girlfriend of more than 20 years together died from a fatal seizure. I was torn up and devastated about that and became very lost. I locked myself in my studio contemplating ending my own life when then my mother passed away. That timing couldn't have been worse because then I was seriously going to kill myself...but then something happened, an itch. I started thinking about music and that DAW program. So I went and bought a guitar because I realized I could figure out how to play it even with my disabled right arm. So over the next six years I taught myself to shred guitar and created enough music for four full albums of my brand oif heavy metal. Nothing has been able to stop me from playing music, especially the guitar and the bass...I don't play guitar the way most guitarists do but I can still pick, thump, grind and shred the strings. I now compose my own drums and add my sampled sounds from my old drum set from my past recorded demos, onto my composed drum notes in every song and instrumental you hear on my albums. I've also writen all my own lyrics and record and produce everything you hear. I've had numerous tragedies in my life but instead of ending it all, I poured myself into music and music saved my life to which I'm eternally grateful, and now I'm finishing my newest album which is number seven of all my work and it's called "2Bad4Blood" and it's great if I do say so myself.
Now I'm happy because for 35 years of playing drums in bands and when that accident caused me to give up my drum playing, I realized none of the music that I played with all those bands was mine. I had nothing to show for all that I did. So I guess what I'm trying to say, is that accident was a blessing of a sort because now I have a bunch of music that is all mine! The force works in strange ways...
