Randy Keith Brown aka (RKB) played the Bar scene in Atlanta and around the country, and on recording sessions around Atlanta for several years when in Match of 1990, he landed a great opportunity to tour with world-renowned R&B Legend, Curtis Mayfield. On August 13th, of that same year, Curtis Mayfield was completely paralyzed when lighting trusses were blown down by heavy winds while performing at an outdoor venue in Brooklyn, New York.
Not long after that, Randy began playing on recording sessions for a label called Ichiban Records, (mainly a blues label). Randy played on several albums for the label including the 1992 Ben E. King release 'What's Important To Me.'
Randy has also performed on stage with such artist's as Clint Black, Charlie Pride, T. Graham Brown,
Billy Dean, Kitty Wells & Johnny Wright, Hank Williams Jr., Mark Collie, Mark Wills, Steve Warner,
and the list goes on...

Randy Keith Brown also known as (RKB) was born on December 18th, 1962 in Waycross, GA. to Mickey And Mary Brown, he was the youngest of four siblings, and was totally blind.
He had his first eye surgery at the age of 1, and was given what the doctor called "walkin' around vision".
In 1966, Mickey and Mary divorced. Mary took the children and moved to Atlanta. Randy attended the Georgia Academy for the Blind in Macon for a brief period from 1968-1970. Toward the end of first grade, Mary put him in public school in the Atlanta area.
Randy began singing as a baby, but didn't get his first guitar until the age of 13. He learned very quickly however, and by the age of 16 and a half was on the road with a professional bar band playing six nights a week throughout much of the eastern United States.
Randy played the Bar scene in Atlanta and around the country, and on recording sessions around Atlanta for several years. Then at the age of 24 he married Tammy Garner, the mother of his children. On May 15th of 1988, the oldest of his two children, Tony was born. In March of 1990, while Tammy was pregnant with his second child, Randy landed a great opportunity to tour with world-renowned R&B Legend, Curtis Mayfield. On May 8th of that same year, his youngest child, Jessica was born.
Things quickly took a turn for the worse. On August 13th, 1990, Curtis Mayfield was completely paralyzed when lighting trusses were blown down by heavy winds while performing at an outdoor venue in Brooklyn, New York.
Not long after that, Randy and Tammy separated and Randy took custody of Tony and Jessica.
Randy soon began playing on recording sessions for a label called Ichiban Records, (mainly a blues label). Randy played on several albums for the label including the 1992 Ben E. King release 'What's Important To Me.'
In 1996, Randy and the kids moved to Nashville, TN. Randy re-married on October 29th 1999 to Wanda Taylor.
Randy now makes a living playing bass for guitarist Jeff Cook, formerly of the Super Group, Alabama. He also plays on recording sessions around Nashville and produces in his own studio just outside of Nashville. www.studioRKB.com.
