David Burk has studied, performed and composed in numerous ethnic global styles including but not limited to music from Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, the Spanish-speaking world, Brazil, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, and the British Isles.
His original compositions have been used by many music production libraries, including Kool Kat Productions (Connecticut), DSM Productions(NYC), Fitzgerald Music (NYC), Gregg Leonard and Associates (Detroit), Transition Music (LA), and John Denny Music (Nashville). He has had his music featured on the soundtrack of "Lush" (2002, S Studio Company/Lion's Gate Home Entertainment), as well as various television and radio commercials.
He has produced, arranged, and composed music for over 40 CD releases for various U.S. independent artists.
He has appeared with the Georges Lammam Arabic Orchestra, Voices of Sepharad, Sattar, Ethnic Dance Theatre, Intergalactic Contemporary Ensemble, Shangoya, Robayat, Amandla and others.
