This song tells a story of life through the eyes of someone traversing their way through the uncertain and perilous journey of living on the "other side of the tracks" if you will. It's a song about not knowing day to day how you will survive the seedier and darker elements of living a street life alone, who you can trust and where to turn, but not giving up regardless.
