Story Behind The Song
This is a song dedicated to the woman Jessie who died at a tender age from undiagnosed Marfan's Syndrome. She was an exceptional ballet dancer and a more excellent person who loved the Lord with all her heart.
It still hurts that she is not here but she left a lasting impression and she is with Him now.

JESSIE'S KIND
Dedicated to raising awareness about Marfans' Syndrome

This began a while ago
She was, oh so special
So tall and strong
Her fingers were so long
Her smile would melt the Pope
And thoughts filled with hope
Not many like her come along
Suddenly nothing was wrong...
Jessica your eyes tell the story
Of a Father's love and Glory
In their reflection I see
Jesus Christ and your Daddy
Who knew, who knew?
What would become of you?
What you gave with your young life
Was all of you
Many search hard for life's meaning
Only to find
The Lord shed his Blood
For Jessie's kind
In a room filled with dancers
We stop and hold our breath
Just to see what she'll do
Pure beauty on the move
Many thought of you as a silent one
Speaking through your moves
Your toes so battered and bruised
Not to mention your torn shoes
Ballet shoes
Who knew, who knew?
What would become of you?
What you gave with your young life
Was all of you
Many search hard for life's meaning
Only to find
The Lord shed His Blood
For Jessie's kind
A pure heart
The hard walk
She took up the cross
He led the way
She never strayed
She's with Him today
Who knew, who knew?
What would become of you?
What you gave with your young life
Was all of you
Many search hard for life's meaning
Only to find
The Lord shed His Blood
For Jessie's kind
