Story Behind The Song
This song is written about Sydney's famous land mark and fun park Luna Park, I wrote it back in 1989 when developers were going to pull it down and build highrise buildings in its place, the song has been shelved all these years and now finally recorded. This park has alot of history to it, alot of happy and sad times throughout its years and thankfully still going strong today.

Lyrics
I stand and stare from platform 2
you eyes give sign's your friends left you behind,
pirate ship don't sail no more
caused by socialistic law,
the devil stared the Dippers maine, then shouted back I'll strike again.
We stare at ground to scared to say don't pull it down,
leaves a memory basking in the sun,
the John 4 Jane carved in the chair, rots away in cold night air oh Luna, Luna they won.
My mind goes back to 83, sailor boy's out having fun filling fantasies,
mesmorised by green and gold Coney island's just been sold,
the spinning wheel that bought us luck,
the toll gate girl
she's a sitting duck.
We stare at ground to scared to say don't pull it down, leaves a memory basking in the sun,
the John 4 Jane carved in the chair
rots away in cold night air oh Luna, Luna they won.
The tender years that welt away,
Art and Hoppy spin in there graves,
sorry boys it's much to old, Coney islands just been sold.
We stare at ground to scared to say don't pull it down, leaves a memory basking in the sun,
the John 4 Jane carved in the chair rots away in cold night air
oh Luna, Luna they won,
the John 4 Jane carved in the chair
rots away in cold night air, oh Luna, Luna they won.
