Story Behind The Song
Lennon had "Yer Blues," I got "My Blues." Check out "My Blues My Truth," for lyrics more about MY LIFE OF BLUES.
Song Description
After she got an item of Mother's that she wanted, she talked to me like a dog. Verbatim in the song lyrics. That's what happens when you are nice to someone...kicked in the testes. Spat on, and shunned. Like a leper. Might as well have leprosy, as I am in quarantine.
This song came from something I said to my son. I won't talk about my problems. But being the cynic, I remember how Lennon added to McCartney's "Getting Better." "It's getting better all the time"...Lennon added, "Can't get no worse." So I added, "'Cause you don't care about my blues." Purely a songwriting move, not directed at anyone in particular. If you think it's about you, I'd suggest an ego check, don't flatter yourself thinking you made it into one of my tunes.

Lyrics
My Blues
I started reminiscing about the days gone by
That's when she reached over and popped me upside my head and said,
"Could you hurry up and die?"
I ain't gonna lay my blues on you
'Cause you don't care, about my blues
I should be suicidal but I'm never gonna lay my blues on you
Well I got all sentimental and thought I'd begun to cry
Ah but that's when I realized
She just poked me in me eye
I ain't gonna lay my blues on you
'Cause you don't care about my blues
I would be suicidal but I'm never gonna lay my blues on you
Well I ask too many questions
And by your fleeting replies
Hell I should already know the answers
I guess my cranium's run dry
I ain't gonna lay my blues on you
'Cause you don't care about my blues
I could be suicidal but I'm never gonna lay my blues on you
They say respect your elders
And your betters too
But Milley didn't get the memo
So wop-di-dop-di-do
I ain't gonna lay my blues on you
'Cause you don't care about my blues
Now I'm really suicidal but I'm never gonna lay my blues on you...My Blues
