Story Behind The Song
Recently, I wrote an instrumental with classical guitar, Midieval recorder, piano, new age instruments with a modern medium slow beat. When I wrote lyrics for it, I knew I needed to find the right female voice to sing it. I found that artist and her name is Marystelle. I recently added Laura Lester's voice for harmony.

Night Rules

Vocalist: Marystelle
Verse 1: Hush little baby, don't you be crying
Monsters live in my dreams too
If you look closely, though you are crying
Nightmares are dreams and can't hurt you.
Rest now in slumber, nothing will harm you
Talk to the monsters with me now,
"Go away monsters, you don't belong here
You don't exist - anyhow!"
Verse 2: Hush little baby, don't you be crying
Thunder is only the noise you hear
It comes with rain that waters the flowers
Though it is loud you've nothing to fear.
Look out the window, I know it's dark now
Let's see if we can see the moon
Rest now in slumber nothing can harm you
The storm will be over very soon.
Verse 3: Hush little baby, don't you be crying
Darkness of night's upon us now
Soon you'll be sleeping, enjoying your slumber
No one can hurt you; I won't allow.
There are no monsters, hiding in shadows
No little creatures ghosts or ghouls
You will be safe for I'm right beside you
That's what we'll call the Night Rules.
