Fused from a collection of musical elements that you would not usually associate with attacking riffs and dark melodies, Project Valkyrie is proving that you can have talent and still play metal. The band's background is in rock, pop, punk and metal of the 80's and 90's. As formed in 2002; Peter Horton, Geraint Parry decided to do something heavier, darker, louder and more aggressive while still ensuring there was always a melody in the madness. Completing the lineup with bassist Shawn Rene, and new drummer Phill Jones, the band recorded two EPs in 2003 and 2004 with producer Gavin Monaghan (The Wildhearts, The Smiths, Mercury Rev, Idlewild, Carina Round, Miss Black America, Jesus and The Mary Chain, The Clash, etc). In February 2005, they were back with Gavin recording their first LP and have a already signed a distribution deal with Polyphonic Records to get it in stores across the UK and Internet. Project Valkyrie is a band to watch as they explode onto the metal scene in 2005.
