Story Behind The Song
This song is about a teacher of mine whose wife died of breast cancer, leaving behind a 3 year old girl - Kirby.
I think it is an uplifting and inspirational song, despite it's subject matter. It's about treasuring memories, but looking to the future through hardship.

Lyrics
When life's an affliction
but you've got conviction
still you dont know where to go
There's one thing that I know
When the world is collapsing
And we are relapsing
and you're all alone in the world unknown
you've got to get up and move on
there's people to prove wrong
left out on your own
but there's one thing that I know
Through all the commanding
and misunderstanding
you're not alone, you were all your own
I know you'll get up
you're keeping your head up
nothing that you owe
but there's one thing that I know
Chorus
I know you'll survive
you never felt like this before
you dont need it anymore
you'll come out alive
and right now it seems unknown
but all your life she will have shown
that you are not alone
Now you're older and wiser
no need to disguise her
she's there for you
in all the things you do
It's not the end that will bind you
but the path that will find you
she left so long ago
Chorus
