Moonlight Lullaby - 1983

Story Behind The Song

Vivienne was born in 1983. I remember long nights when I carried her in my arms trying to get her to fall a sleep. She was a beautiful baby. So many songs we shared together. One night I gazed at her, sleeping soundly inmy arms, and a melody came flowing through my mind. Words followed... and in a space of one starry night... Moonlight Lullaby came to being. A dedication to my beautiful daugther and the memory of her sweet baby days.

Song Length 2:10 Genre Classical - Medieval
Subject Dreams, Love for Child

Lyrics

Lady Night comes creeping in
Little Vivienne's eyes grow dim
Daddy's sitting by your side
Singing Moonlight Lullaby

Through the window starshine peeks
Moon-beams softly tough your cheaks
Night-wind rustles autumn leaves... hush my sweatheart
Go to sleep

Hush my darling do not cry
Night is long and cold outside
Hush my dearest close your eyes
Hear the Moonlight Lullaby

For tomorrow dreams come true
Days of sunshine wait for you
And tomorrow you will know
Love...makes little children grow.
