Story Behind The Song
A childhood fear that has haunted me most of my life. I've always had a sixth sense and I had spent much of my life ignoring it, until recently. A friend asked me to write this song for a short film and then I realized that this was much more real than I even knew. In the film, there is a drunk medium who uses alcohol to keep the demons and ghosts at bay. Of course every time he becomes sober, look out!
Song Description
A childhood fear that has haunted me most of my life. I've always had a sixth sense and I had spent much of my life ignoring it, until recently. When a friend asked me to write a song for his film about a drunk medium, who drinks to keep the ghosts away, I was instantly in love with the concept. Of course in retrospect this song has also made me confront so many of my own demons. As a child and even as an adult I seem to pick up on the wavelength of the spirit world and I had spent so much of my life running from this gift and now I choose to embrace it.

Lyrics
I drink a lot of drinks
I see a lot of things
But I'm not crazy
You feel the air change
When they come my way
But I'm not crazy
You would drink too if you saw what I see
I drink a lot of drinks so I can sleep
CHORUS:
There's a ghost in my room
And he talks to me when I try to sleep
And he looks at me with his
Red eyes
He reaches for me and he looks at me with his
Red eyes
No matter where I go
There are tortured souls
Screaming out for me
I try to drown them out
But they are swarming 'round
Crawling all over me
You would drink too if you saw what I see
I drink a lot of drinks so I can sleep
(CHORUS)
Red eyes, they've got red eyes
And it's no surprise; it's no surprise
I've been running from this all my life
Knock, knock on the window, dear
And when you open the sheer
There is nothing here
I've been running from red eyes all my life
(CHORUS)
