Fantastic song!!! Great lyric, wonderful prosody, and the sparse arrangement with the light acoustic and pedal steel parts "talking" works perfectly!! Masterfully done!! Vocal is incredible!! Hits on all cylinders!!

I love the singers voice although I felt like it should of been a man singing. Very pretty vocals and Lyrics. I could see it being used in a Western movie. Good Job.

The instrumentation, arrangement and quality of the recording are great. The voice is quite lovely. Even though this is not the type of song one ever hears any more, it would certainly be useful and fit perfectly in a movie, I would think.

Here's a song about a cowboy with a sad past. The abuse account really touches the heart. Excellently told story, tear-jerking ballad. My favorite rhyme: shard, scarred (that whole line is GREAT!) Very effective word pictures. Memorable hook. Plaintive voice. Nice instrumentation. Mix is right on target.
