Story Behind The Song
I went to an art exhibit by Elisabeth Ladwig (www.ElizabethOnEarth.com) and fell in love with her artwork, which are composites of original photographs. I wanted to climb inside each image. That's what inspired this song.
Song Description
There are several pieces of art referenced in this song. And by writing it, I hope to somehow make you feel what I felt when I saw each of Elisabeth's artwork. So please listen and walk with me.

Walk With Me
music & lyrics by Carolyn Messina © 2017
Walk with me to the end of the earth
Cast your eyes to the sky
Feel the warmth of the sun on your face and
Catch the morning light.
Walk with me to the river of dreams
Down the path round the bend
Pay respect to the birds and the bears
Make peace with our forest friends
Let's get lost in the shadows. Tread softly through these trees
And dance like no one's watching. Let it go and just be free
Let's step inside this canvas. Climb that castle on the hill
Cause there's no future there's no past when time is standing still. In a photograph
Walk with me in a moonlit night Cause when darkness fall
There's a world that most never see Or hear when the night owl calls
Let's get lost in the shadows. Tread softly through these trees
And dance like no one's watching. Let it go and just be free
Let's step inside this canvas. Climb that castle on the hill
Cause there's no future there's no past when time is standing still. In a photograph
Walk with me though I don't know just where this journey leads
Take my hand and hold on tight
and make this leap with me
Walk with me to the end of the earth
Cast your eyes to the sky
Feel the warmth of the sun on your face and
Catch the morning light.
Let's get lost in the shadows. Tread softly through these trees
And dance like no one's watching. Let it go and just be free
Let's step inside this canvas. Climb that castle on the hill
Cause there's no future there's no past when time is standing still. In a photograph
