Story Behind The Song
I lived by a train station in rural MD when I wrote this song and it was September and it was hot. Wanting to get out of the small town, there was one bar, one gas station, one barber shop and two churches.

Lyrics
Long Enough
words and music-Dave Gelberg
Verse 1
Never knowing what this world is coming to , but you sure know where the hell you've been
Like a book you've been taking notes, in lessons from the mistakes you've had
You wish them all to go away and when its all going to end
You finding its hard to leave on this northern train
Pre-chorus
Still warm in September sun, wish it only to get cooler
One day you'll be back again
Chorus
Walk a million miles, just to get back home
Still I wait awhile, I waited long enough
Verse 2
Standing around this old town looking for something new, but what it is you just don't know
Been hanging at the corner bar that no one goes, you wonder where the wonder's gone
Its going to take awhile to figure out whats left
If luck is on your side or if its waiting with someone else
