Story Behind The Song
Deborah can sing like Karen Carpenter, and her producer loves Karen Carpenter, so they wanted to put a song on her CD as a tribute. This is an updated more modern arrangement that still retains the feel and sound of the original. One step higher than Karen's version, but could take it lower. Deborah Wedekind wanted this to sound similar but not just like Karen's vocals and version from the 1970's.
Song Description
Deborah Wedekind's voice sounds very close to Karen Carpenter. Original arrangement has no background vocals, is similar to, but not the 70's feel, instruments, and sound of the original. Updated, more modern with a 2000's pop twist.

Lyrics
Love, look at the two of us,
Strangers in many ways
We've got a lifetime to share
So much to say
And as we go on from day to day
I'll hold you close to me
But time alone will tell
Let's take a lifetime to say
I knew you well
For only time will tell us so
And love may grow, for all we know
Love, look at the two of us,
Strangers in many ways
Let's take a lifetime to say
I know you well
But only time will tell us so
And love will grow, for all we know.
