Story Behind The Song
I go through seasons where I write songs about me and life and other seasons where I write soley about God. Most of the songs on "Surrender" came out of that God season. This song was actually written to the unbeliever about who my God has been to me.
I'll never forget the moment I was sitting in a piano lab in college and writing worship music with my friend Melissa. Melissa made a statement that will stick with me forever. She said, "so many of today's worship songs are all about us and hardly about God." So, from that day on I set out to write more songs about our God.
