Story Behind The Song

I met a piano prodigy named Val Wold who was 11 years old at the time and was inspired to write this piano concerto for him.I was also inspired by his family's life story to write a fictional screenplay based on the musical themes in this piano concerto. The Prodigy is the story of two families from different countries whose friendship begins in World War II at the Elbe River, who are then separated by years of cold war and enmity and finally reunited through music symbolized by the love of an American boy and a Russian girl, which produces a prodigy.
