Story Behind The Song
This is the first song that I wrote ( 1974, or 1975) that was performed publicly and was a big hit among our 100 or so fans . . .
This is a replication of it, music and lyrics are the same (amazingly, 48 or so years later, between me & David, we remembered it all.
It's a lot of fun, so start dancing!

Lyrics
V1
We were drivin' down the road, it was late last Saturday night
Cruisin' all alone, no there wasn't another car in sight
We decided right then that the time to boogie was right
V2
So I backed us into our favorite spot, off of old Dow RD.
My baby, she was ready to explode.
Then a flash light came shining in my eyes
Man with a badge sayin':
CH
Don't you know that you can't boogie here,
You can't wet your doogie here,
No, you can't boogie here, can't wet your doogie here.
You can't boogie, can't wet your doogie here
Lead break
V3
So I took her back home and we parked at the end of her drive
Yeah my baby, she really came alive
Then another flashlight came shining in my eyes, It was her Daddy saying': Git in the house girl, and you boy, you know that
Ch 2
You can't boogie here,
Can't wet your doogie here,
No, you can't boogie here, can't wet your doogie here.
You can't boogie, can't wet your doogie here
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
You can't boogie here,
Can't wet your doogie here,
No, you can't boogie here, can't wet your doogie here.
You can't boogie, can't wet your doogie here
You can't boogie, can't wet your doogie here
