Song Description
Sims and Maggie spent a week on Islay and completely fell in love with the iland, the people, the south shore and particularly Lagavulin Bay. As the boat pulled away from Port Ellen, the town nearest Lagavulin Bay we had a good long parting moment and this song came to light. The angel's share refers to the 10% that the casks emit in the warehouses - a most glorious aroma.

Lyrics
The Angel's share on Lagavulin Bay
Is in the air,
and tho' I'm days away
Thru the fog ,
thru the morning mist
I taste the sea,
smell the peat,
My heart's at rest.
If I should never see those shores again
I know that I can be with Islay when
I share a wee dram with
my dearest friends
and here I'll stay on Lagavulin Bay
And in my dreams
it's Lagavulin Bay
Over the seas
and in my reckless ways
and when I'm free I hope
your heart will stay
with me with you
on Lagavulin Bay
