Story Behind The Song
My son, Sean, will remember me struggling to write this song when we lived in Texas. I had the melody and knew what I wanted to say but, as sometimes happens, the words weren't cooperating. Then I went to the office and sat with a co-worker who wanted to discuss some important piece of work thing. She saw that I was distracted. "What's up with you?" she asked. "I've got this song on my mind and am struggling to write it," I explained. She pushed aside the important work papers and said "Show me what you've got...let's write a song." Well, even though she never got co-writing credit, she helped me realize what a REALLY important work paper looks like - funny, how it resembles a lyric sheet!

Lyrics
A LEAP OF FAITH
You ask me to tell you
Why I think that we're together
I'll try to explain
Although I may not understand
Some things are meant to be
And it's a gift when we
Can go through our lives hand-in-hand
A leap of faith and we're heading toward
A state of grace that's our reward
And where it leads
Oh, where it goes
Oh, noone really knows
There are so many ways
To show you that I love you
And not speak a single word
Or write one single line
Like how I think of you
In everything I do
And make your cares and worries mine
Chorus:
Bridge: In an era where we live
Moment by moment
Isn't it comforting
To know you've got a friend?
Someone who'll stand by you
In everything you do
And see it through until the end?
Chorus:
