It took a while for me to appreciate that love comes in different forms. I was feeling pressured to fulfill someone's expectation of what their love interest should be. Why couldn't I? Well, I turned it around to How could I? In other words, how could I behave in the relationship so as to be true to me and still help assuage another's needs?
