Story Behind The Song
I was reflecting on the innocence of children and how they wake up every morning with optimism and curiosity. I thought about the little boys coming up in the next generation of my family and how I just couldn't imagine anyone wanting to hurt them or dampen their energy. When I took it into the studio, I envisioned a heavy banjo influence but what do I know? My prescient producer, Bill Bentley, astutely featured the slide guitar and it makes the song so happy! My brother, Scott, chose this song to be part of our "Old Folks at Home" musical and the whole cast enjoyed singing it because it's just happy.

Lyrics
Little Feet
V1: Hear the sound of the little feet early in the morning
Running out in the hall to greet another brand new day
Little hands wipe away the sleep from a night of dreaming
Skipping and dancing, little feet at play
Cho: It's the little feet that keep the big feet going
Through the ups and downs, all the highs and lows
Just knowing the little feet are there at home awaiting
Makes big hearts happy; keeps big feet on their toes
V2: Hear the sound of the laughter coming from the doorway
Little feet chasing after butterflies and bees
Can't imagine a day without the whispers and the giggles
Can't stop the little feet from running where they please
Cho:
V3: Feel the hugs and the kisses, the pure anticipation
Safe and snug in their innocence, so trusting and so sweet
Isn't it great when the morning starts with love and adoration
Coming from the little hearts and little dancing feet?
Cho:
