Story Behind The Song
I always loved "Hoochie Coochie Man," and I wondered if anyone had ever written a song from "The Gypsy Woman's" perspective, so I gave it a go.
Song Description
Basically roots blues with a bit of Delta guitar style in it. Kept it very simple and not overproduced due to my desire to keep it as pure to genre as possible.

Lyrics
Y'all heard 'bout That Gypsy Woman
How she gaze at the moon above
When she told you 'bout your young man comin'
Gonna be a master of love
Well, I'm That Gypsy Woman, baby
I'm the one, I'm the one they all speakin' of
Yes, I am
I got my eyes set on the good ones, honey
Yeah, I know, 'cause I read 'dem old stars above
So tell me, how your young man doin'?
Does he make 'em cry and moan
'Cause That Gypsy Woman had a feelin'
All those young girls won't leave him alone
'Cause I'm That Gypsy Woman, baby
I'm the one, I'm the one they all been speakin' of
Oh, yes, I am
I keep my eyes set for the good ones, honey
Yeah, I know where those good ones be comin' from
Now sit down here and tell me your story ...
(Guitar Solo)
Now you know I ain't been drinkin', honey
What I'm sayin' here is true
And I know that you been wonderin'
How that Gypsy know what she do
Well, I'm That Gypsy Woman, baby
I'm the one, the one, the one they all speakin' of
Oh, yes I am
I keep my eyes set on the good ones, honey
Yeah, I know, 'cause I read 'dem old stars above
Wo-oh, yeah....
