Lyrics
Cherokee Rose still stands
Julia Spring 2008
History has been told of the legend trail.
Where the Cherokee rose & fell
Pushed off sacred land from me who feared there ways
Whose minds were cluttered by mischief & greed
Chorus:
Ravens fly high overhead
And the rivers rage blood crimson red
Grandmother earth walked hand and hand with them down that path
Where the Cherokee rose still stands
4,000 Cherokee died
Men, Women and children laid to rest
Upon the trail where they cried
Nunna Daul Isaunni
Chiefs prayed for a sign to give them strength
Then the Cherokee rose appeared
White petals for a mothers tears/gold center represents the land
Where the 7 leaves stem for their clans
Repeat Chorus twice
The white buffalo will return
Change all the colors of man on earth
Then back to white again and peace will cover the land
