Story Behind The Song
It's a pretty straightforward but sad song about thinking you've met the perfect person, having one great date with them, telling them you have fallen in love, and then they say you've gone way too fast, and that they can only be friends. Then you spend weeks being upset with yourself because you shared emotions too hastily. And now you've lost this potential love.
Song Description
I met an incredible woman, someone I thought was my dream girl. Everything about her seemed right, and she seemed to like me. But I acted to hastily in sharing my feelings. She thought I was being selfish in not letting her explore HER feelings more, and she put a stop to the relationship. It was devastating, plain and simple.

Lyrics
I've got this feeling that love is just slipping away/I'm kind of tired of always having some role to play/I've got this feeling so deep in my heart/But saying things right out is not always smart/I just wanna give love to someone, and know that they'll stay/I'm feeling my way.
I get so nervous when someone like you comes along/Don't happen that often that I can feel something so strong/So how do we both take the next step or two/It seems to be harder on me than on you/I hate to hold back when I know I've got so much to say/But I'm feeling my way.
Part of me's been locked away now, for many long years/I travel my path till this strange thing called LOVE reappears/And even a glimpse of the dream that could me/Is more than enough to disorient me/To tell the real thing from my heart's wish, there's the delay/I'm feeling my way.
And even if you might seem perfect for me/It doesn't mean that is the picture you see/Love's what I'll offer, but love always leads me astray/I'm still feeling my way.
