If I died tomorrow
could I live in peace today
with a thousand lies dangled over
my head
and a car crash on the way?

as the sun came up
would closure finally be found

and my mind grows cold
my heart is aching now
my body's growing old
but my hope is just to stay here
and my plan is not to care
i'd rather be without it
than have to take it everywhere.

would the hate still follow me
would lies and pain still be there
where I am bound to be

Down into the depths of hell
where the fire burns
will nightmares permeate my brain
will my soul never be free?

and my fear runs strong
my strength is fading fast
my cries are whispers now
but my hope is that you'll save me
and my plan is to survive
