Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song when processing two incidents at once: the loss of a friend due to suicide, and the shooting at the University of Virginia, my alma matar. When watching the people around me, especially parents, mourn their loved ones taken too soon, all I could keep thinking was that, "some grief should never be known." It was this sentiment that inspired me to write the song dedicated to those who have lost someone too soon. Through my music, I hope to offer comfort and solace to those who are struggling to come to terms with such devastating losses.

Lyrics
(Verse 1)
Wrong place, wrong time
Sick world, sweet lies
Lead you to a mountain
On your knees, crying out for
Answers, you find
No words, just climb
Up inside the grief grown so tall
There no relief (at all)
(Pre-Chorus)
Pale skin, closed eyes
6 feet, blue skies
Welcoming a soul
Too young to call it home
(Chorus)
Some grief should never be known, no
Some grief should never be known (x2)
Screaming alone
Searching for answer
Some grief should never be known, no, no
(Verse 2)
No signs, no clues
God knows, you'd do
Anything to rewind
Anything to rid you of the
Black dress, and Fake smiles
Shake hands, all while
People keep repeating
Hallow thoughts, Shallow feelings
(Pre-Chorus)
Like they're in, a better place
You don't scream, don't waste
Energy on words
They've never felt the hurt
(Chorus)
Some grief should never be known, no, no
Some grief should never be known
Screaming alone
Searching for answer
Some grief should never be known, no, no, no
(Bridge)
Sing a oath to the soul's we're releasing
Sing a toast to the homes they're receiving
Sing a prayer for the prayer for the people in the grieving
Sing a prayer, sing a prayer
(Chorus)
Some grief should never be known, no, no
Some grief should never be known
Screaming alone
Searching for answer
Some grief should never be known, no, no, no
(Outro)
Sing a oath to the soul's we're releasing
Sing a toast to the homes they're receiving
Sing a prayer for the prayer for the people in the grieving
Sing a prayer, sing a prayer
