In the second verse he explains how they had discussed they would remain just friends and that their relationship was casual on Friday nights. But it is too hard for him to simply walk away. In the bride he wonders how she acquired such control over him. He remembers how with other girls he could just walk away. But she slammed into his life showing him all new things in life.
