Song Description
This song is about the feelings of losing my mother at a very early stage of my life as well as hers. It was written a number of years after her passing and helped me to deal with the pain and grief I still hold years later.

Lyrics
Hurting Me This Way
Every time I feel the wind blow
Upon my weathered face it takes me to a place in time
When loving you was all I needed
Forget the moon and stars when you would hold me in your arms
The world would slowly fade away
We would just tune out the words that others had to say
I don't know what's come over me
Cause I need someone to blame for hurting me this way
I'd be lying if I told you
That I finally can accept the good Lord taking you so soon
Never thought there'd be a reason
For missing you so much and feeling out of touch
My world still seems to fade away
But not the way it did when I was holding on to you
I know I'll never bring you back
So I need someone to blame for hurting me this way
My world still seems to fade away
But not the way it did when I was holding on to you
I know I'll never bring you back
So I need someone to blame for hurting me this way
Every time I feel the wind blow
Upon my weathered face it takes me to a place in time
When loving you was all I needed
Forget the moon and stars when you would hold me in your arms
The world would slowly fade away
We would just tune out the words that others had to say
I don't know what's come over me
Cause I need someone to blame for hurting me this way
