Story Behind The Song

This song was actually written about the Great Barrier reef and the state of distress it was in. But, at the same time as writing this song, I was dating a girl that was my Canary. Everytome my behavior turned negative she would leave. Zero tolerance. Kind of like the miners used to do in coal mines. Thery would ta\ake a Canary down with them and when the gas got too bad, the Canary would fly away or drop dead and the miners would evacuate the mine - the Great Barrier Reef is OUR Canary. The Earths' Canary, and she is not happy right now - sing Songbird sing!
