Story Behind The Song

This song was composed as a memorial piece for a Dear friend, Trudi Straus, an elderly woman who escaped Germany during WWII with Her husband. I knew her when I was a child, and walked her dog to pay for my piano lessons. When she passed away, she left her Bluthner grand piano to me. This piece is a tribute to her.
