Song Description
The song 'Light It Up' came from a burst of inspiration on the night before Shannon Lilly was scheduled to record a different original. She came into the studio the next morning, and told her producer, Joey Stuckey, that she had a new/different song that she planned to record -- a song she had written just the night before. At first, Joey told her she was crazy ( in a joking way of course), but after hearing the song -- agreed it was a good move.
'Light It Up,' was inspired by an idea to capture fiery and glamorous moments behind an ideal connection. It's about that someone or something that steps into your life and suddenly gives everything that was gray or unextraordinary color, hope, excitement. It's intimate, real, and relatable. A snapshot or glimpse into that spark inside of us when we find something or someone we are truly passionate about.
