Story Behind The Song
This songwriter attended school with Dave and Trish and was at a reunion style luncheon last year that both attended but not together. They didn't know each other well, but started seeing one another socially after that, and before you know it, I was invited to their wedding. Our former class president, Dave, has been fighting cancer for a while, and Trish is just an all around wonderful woman of faith that I've know all my life. Both lost their spouses in recent years, and I was inspired to tell their story tells about fresh starts and love and dreams coming true. They don't know about the song yet, but I look forward to sharing it with them.

Lyrics
Fairy Tales and honeymoons
V 1 In a tiny house in Texas, Dave wakes again today.
Heads where his friends meet up for lunch one, lonely, fateful day....
Runs into Trish who Dave told me he hadn't seen in years,
'N 'fore you know, things move along, and thus I raise this cheer.
C: To fairy tales and honeymoons. Don't kiss the frog too soon.
Jus'keep on prayin', don't be dismayed if love should go the ugly wa-ay.
Don't give up on miracles. What joy will come to you?
If we sign up for the fairy tales, and don't take the honeymoon.
V 2: Dave and Trish find love true at the Circle Grill Café,
'N soon they walk between the pews to start a brand-new day.
Trish moves into that tiny house, so Dave can live his dream,
And love makes it a castle big ... in a Disney movie scene.
Bridge: So, birds sing, tears start, and strings will swell the heart.
It's happy ever after time ... a perfect work of art.
Our prince and princess, pretty, say 'til death do us part.
Fairy tales and honeymoons won't be torn apart!
C: Fairy tales and honeymoons. Don't kiss the frog too soon.
Just keep on prayin', don't be dismayed if love should go the ugly wa-ay.
Don't give up on miracles. What joy will come to you?
If we sign up for the fairy tales, don't forget the honeymoon.
Outro: So, Sunday's still the day for church, and Monday, thank the Lord.
Days roll by, and clearly, time and love are th'reward.
Dave's richer for the honeymoon. Trish loves her fairy tales.
Miracles, miracles, miracles won't fail !
Fairytales and honeymoons and me. Fairytales and honeymoons and you.
Dreams co-me tru-ue. Fairytales and fairytales and fairytales and honeymoons.
