Song Description
The song expresses the struggle with depression and how they feel. The Lyrics are incredible.....and could almost be an anthem for those who suffer from depression.... "Here I am once again without a friend will it ever end" "Bottle of whiskey and another pill. Should I pretend" "Going a thousand mile and hour and not afraid to crash. For I have a super power I can rise from the ash" and so much more in one song! There are even glimpses into history in the Lyrics. For instance the line "Ships have been burned" is a reference to Julius Cesar when he left Rome on his way to Britain with his legions, he burned his ships...to send a message that there was no going back home. ...they had to stay the course for the honor and glory of Rome. The world changes...the home you once knew is gone, friends have abandoned you, the innocence is gone...committed to moving forward entering into the unknown knowing that you will probably be alone....hense "favorite color black".

Lyrics
"Boom" by Andrew Neil (Maternick)
Here I am once again
without a friend
will it ever end
You will miss me
yes you will
bottle of whiskey
and another pill
should I pretend
I did it before
why not do it again
escape the world
in my head
truth or dare
dare or truth
the nightmare of past abuse
Juliet is dead
There's a cricket in the corner of my room
Chirp chirp the gun goes boom
There's a cricket in the corner of my room
Chirp chirp the gun goes boom
gun goes boom gun goes boom
I'm going a thousand miles per hour
and I'm not afraid to crash
For I have a super power
I can rise from the ash
I can rise from the ash
I'm exhausted I really am
If I'm lost I don't give a damn
no going back
Ships have been burned
no going home
one thing you learn
when your all alone
your favorite color's black
There's a cricket in the corner of my room
Chirp chirp the gun goes boom
There's a cricket in the corner of my room
Chirp chirp the gun goes boom
gun goes boom gun goes boom
