Story Behind The Song
This song was actually written for a 24 hour songwriting challenge based around 3 criteria: a THEME of waking up, a LYRIC of 'I can't tell you but it lasts forever', and an ELEMENT of clapping and/or knocking. Competitors had 24 hours to take those criteria & write a brand new song with them. 'Repeat Yesterday' is the song Andrew Rudd & Victoria Boland wrote for the competition, which they won & were award a DEVA award for.

Lyrics
You knocked me out, blew me away
Stole my words, so I had nothing to say
You made me yours, your sweet endeavour
And this love I can't tell you but it lasts forever
All those times I heard people say
That waking up would be okay
And I said...
Hold my hand just a little bit longer
I feel your strength and it's making me stronger
Kiss me once and make the world just go away
Serenade me back to sleep so we repeat yesterday
It wasn't long for me to realise
That what I saw in you, you saw in my eyes
A perfect stranger from my dreamland
Who woke me up and who helped me stand
I had my doubts but you proved me wrong
And now I wonder how it ever took so long
And I said...
Hold my hand just a little bit longer
I feel your strength and it's making me stronger
Kiss me once and make the world just go away
Serenade me back to sleep so we repeat yesterday
La La La La Laa...
La La La La Laa...
And I said...
Hold my hand just a little bit longer
I feel your strength and it's making me stronger
Kiss me once and make the world just go away
Serenade my soul to sleep so we repeat yesterday
La La La La Laa...
La La La La Laa...
La La La La Laa...
La La La La Laa...
