Confedrates Come Homemp3

Story Behind The Song

I was interested in the American Civil War and realised not much musically has been attempted about the "losers". Therefore it thought I would highlight what it must have felt like in music terms feeling the mood of defeat on return.

Song Description

The war is over and after the initial anticipation and eagerness to take on the North, these feelings were eventually replaced by the realisation of defeat. Coupled with the knowledge of how families would react it is the story of the return of a beaten army. This was a bitter pill for the soldiers to swallow but from the familie's point of view, they were home and alive which was all that mattered.
