Story Behind The Song
I wanted to write a song that could be sung by a man or woman, changing 'her' to 'his' and 'she' to 'he'. Sung by a person in pain having realised the relationship is over.
Song Description
There is no logic in love.Love is an art not a science. The song is about someone who has tried to find out why everything went sour and now knows nothing will be sweet again. The singer is bitter, sad and with little hope, having gone through this destructive process.

Lyrics
My smile has worn thin
As my tears trickle through
I've sadly stopped my searching
Though I still don't have a clue.
My private eye's gone blind
He investigates no more
Not all men are rapists
All women can't be whores.
I'm laughing on the left
Side of my heart
Half afraid it's time that we depart.
I'm laughing on the left
Side of my heart
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I'm laughing on the left side of my heart.
I could struggle on my own
But it takes two not to fight
One of us gave up trying
While the other gave up the right
I detect there's someone new
No don't confirm what I say
People often feel like change
But why do I have to pay?
Chorus
My sadness is no shield
As the jokes on me are revealed
A candidate for madness
As the real me is concealed.
Her partner in crime
She prefers there's no denying
Emotion is stronger than logic
And I'm weak that's why I'm crying.
Chorus
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
