Story Behind The Song
Initially a bet that I couldn't write a poem entitled "The Silent Phone" in under 5 minutes. I won the bet and also made the poem into a song.
Song Description
A lonely man sits at the window, waiting for his lover to call. The song takes us through his emotions as each moment passes without a sound. Very poignant.

Lyrics
V1.
I sit here all alone each day
Listening as the birds do sing,
And all I have is loneliness
And a phone that doesn't ring
V2.
I wish my love would call me
And speak to me of loving things,
But all I have is emptiness
And a phone that never rings
Chorus.
A house that screams a silence
Is all that my day brings
As I sit and cry a lonely tear
Beside a phone that never rings
V3.
If I could only hear her voice
I'd have almost everything,
And then how happy I would be,
But, still the phone it will not ring
V4.
Now I'm afraid to leave the room
Incase I miss a vital (ding!)
So I just sit here and stare at
A phone that doesn't ring
Chorus (Repeat)
