Story Behind The Song
My 11 year old wanted me to write a Christmas song for him. This is basically his song, the complaints he has. Living in the country without wi-fi, cell service, etc.
Song Description
What a world we live in! When I was a child, I would have loved to have a dirt bike, quad, horse, river in the backyard. This would have been a childhood dream for past generations. Not this generation! The number one most important thing to kids these days is....internet. Cell phones, instagram, facebook, video games, and of course....Wi-Fi. This song is about a young kid who would grately give up all the "big gifts" Santa has brought, just to have some technology. Funny becuase it is so descriptive of today's kids. Very current issue!

Lyrics
Wi-Fi for Christmas
Written by: April Styron 2014
Mama, I just want some Wi-Fi for Christmas
I don't care too much about all those big gifts
Daddy, I'll ask him to bring you a beer
And maybe some Wi-Fi for Christmas this year
Maybe some Wi-Fi for Christmas this year
My Daddy moved us way back out in the sticks
And tries to pretend it's 1986
But we just don't live in those black and white days
And I'm tryin' to update on my new Facebook page
Chorus:
Mama, I just want some Wi-Fi for Christmas
I don't care too much about all those big gifts
Daddy, I'll ask him to bring you a beer
And maybe some Wi-Fi for Christmas this year
Maybe some Wi-Fi for Christmas this year
Santa has brought me some great gifts of course
A quad and a dirt bike and even a horse
When you live in the country that's just what you need
But, I'm begging this year for technology please
Chorus:
Mama, I just want some Wi-Fi for Christmas
I don't care too much about all those big gifts
Daddy, I'll ask him to bring you a beer
And maybe some Wi-Fi for Christmas this year
Maybe some Wi-Fi for Christmas this year
And, I promise that I won't turn into a snot
I'll use punctuation, good grammar a lot
Just put in a good word to the big man in fur
Some Wi-Fi for Christmas this year I'd prefer
Chorus:
Mama, I just want some Wi-Fi for Christmas
I don't care too much about all those big gifts
Daddy, I'll ask him to bring you a beer
And maybe some Wi-Fi for Christmas this year
Maybe some Wi-Fi for Christmas this year
