Story Behind The Song
Wrote this song for my best friend and fellow band mate in Workingman's Grass, Bradley 'Soulo' Koch who passed away tragically on Christmas of 2007. This was my way of healing and coming to grips with his passing.

Lyrics
In a blink of an eye, life keeps flashing by
we're on a ride on this Greyhound of life
Don't know when it started or when our journey will end.
from the time we're born, you know we're bound to die, bound to die
So don't ask me why but there's no reason to the rhyme.
For someone so young, so wise beyond his time
Filled with the knowledge that burned beyond his years
now he's sings with the angels in that heavenly chior, that heavenly chior
Bridge:
He spreads his wings and he gliding towards the sky's
While we're left here to wonder why he had to die
Don't You cry no more for you know that his love was pure
You feel so lost, so empty that you can't keep from crying
But dry your eyes for soon the pain it will subside
Life is but a dream and the vision is left unseen
it's obscured by the clouds and the memories of what used to be
we walked around so blind that we couldn't even see the signs
that he had arrived at the end the end of the line. the end of the line
bridge II:
Can you hear the ring when you're all alone in the night
Makin sounds to soothe our souls in that great big gig in the sky
When life knocks you down chews you up and spits you to the ground
close your eyes and open your ears for soon that familiar sound you will hear
of a mandolin that will be ringin from within.
Then you will know of the man that we called SOULo, the man we called SOULO
