Story Behind The Song
This is a true story. When I decided to write the song I put out a plea on Facebook for any family members who have memories of Christmas Eve at Granny's House to please share them with me so I could create the song.
Happily I received enough but not too many memories, so I didn't have to choose between on person or another.
Song Description
An annual gathering at Granny's House each Christmas, until she had to sell the house and move to live with her daughter (ME). During the days of her first bunch of grand kids before the family was too large to fit into the little 10x10 room.

Revised wording as per John Covert
Christmas Eve at Grannies house
We looked forward to it each year
Aunts and uncles, cousins and friends
Gathered to enjoy some Christmas cheer
Now as we look back on those years
with laughter, Sometimes tears
We all agree it was a wondrous time
Christmas eve at Granny's house
Tori has memories to share
some carols, laughter and fun
The night was very special for her
Grannie had gifts for everyone
Brad recalls the little tree
Granny de-cor-ated each year
Though many years have passed away
He still wis-h-es she was here
turn-around-3-2-1-
Deb ,of course , enjoyed the fun
Though she doesn't like this holiday
So when she shared a memory
BAH -HuM-Bug, was all she'd say
Rojana responded with these words
she remembers as a child
Food to eat, Family to love
play-ing with her cousins for a while
turn-around-3-2-1-
I remember Santa knocking on the door
such an unexpected delight
We never knew who invited him
To cel-e-brate with us that night.
