Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song before going to Nashville. At NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) a mentor said it was a great tune. But needed more "american" lyrics. That's why I started a joyful collaboration with Mike Flanigan, an artist from Nashville, that became the Author of this lyrics.

Lyrics
Got home a little half-past 'too late' from a red-hot show
I see you left the conversation with a note nailed to the door
You're tired of my honky-tonkin' and bein' left alone
An' thinkin' 'bout what I'm up to while I'm on road
So put the blame on me for all those lonely nights
There's a world I gotta see from behind those red stage lights
The Jim and Jack have got my back while I'm out' bein' free
So you can go ahead and you can put the blame on me
Sittin' down with a bottle 'cause tonight's one of those days
and livin' out of a suitcase has got a big price to pay
You got sick of payin', so now you're on your way
You can send dead flowers to the next cool place I play
So put the blame on me for all those lonely nights
There's a world I gotta see from behind those red stage lights
The Jim and Jack have got my back while I'm out' bein' free
So you can go ahead and you can put the blame on me
Soon I'll be callin' everyone I know
and we gonna dance dance dance 'til we tear up the floor
So put the blame on me for all those lonely nights
There's a world I gotta see from behind those red stage lights
The Jim and Jack have got my back while I'm out' bein' free
So you can go ahead and you can put the blame on me
